I've read this idea somewhere. Its simple yet I love how it challenges the conventional web design approach.
THE APPROACH:
1. You need a website.
2. Find a developer to create it.
3. Developer designs it as they see fit.
4. Creative team fits content into pre-determined frames.
But that's the same as buying a frame and then looking for a painting that fits AND looks good.
Why not go the other way round?
1. Creative team deliver copy that MUST be in the web
2. Make a basic wireframe
3. Then you find a developer to create it.
4. Developers build the web around the content.
Both methods require close collaboration between teams, but who's leading the way? Content leads the frame, or frame leads the content?
